Information session for the Julius Kühn Institute
September 9 @ 10:00 - 12:00 CEST
Description: Although a number of researchers are already well-informed about their obligations and are doing their best to fulfil them, there are still a number of people who have only “heard of” the Nagoya Protocol but do not yet fully appreciate what this means for them in practice. In this presentation, Elizabeth Karger talks about the practicalities of “doing ABS” and complying with the EU Regulation, focusing on the use of plant genetic resources and relevant use cases.
Speaker: Elizabeth Karger, Leibniz-Institut DSMZ-Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (DSMZ).
