GNP HuB is doing outreach and awareness-raising on Nagoya Protocol compliance
GNP HuB is helping the academic research community in Germany to understand their obligations
Corona changed a few things
In order to do outreach and awareness-raising, the German Nagoya Protocol HuB was planning to attend various life sciences conferences and meetings across Germany throughout 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic has obviously made these conferences and in-person meetings impossible for now.
The good news is that we can still do outreach about Nagoya Protocol compliance.
Modern technology provides us with many solutions, including to the current challenges. Despite Corona, we are doing regular outreach online in both German and English.
Apart from our regular meetings of the new GNP HuB Network, we’ve already given talks for the Cyano 2020 Summer School, the meeting of the Pflanzenschutzdienst der Länder (Unterarbeitskreis Virologie), Transfer Allianz and most recently the Biosciences Division of the Alfred Wegener Institute.
We have a number of other talks coming up in early 2021 – check out our calendar.
Are you planning information sessions for your institution or online meetings/conferences for the wider research community?
We would be happy to attend online events if speaking slots are available on Nagoya Protocol compliance and policy-related issues. Just let us know!
