Title: “The Nagoya Protocol – keeping it simple”

Understanding Nagoya Protocol compliance might seem daunting but we can make our lives easier by breaking it down into a series of questions that we need to ask ourselves. All we need to do is make sure that we know where to find the answers to those questions.

In this information session, Elizabeth Karger provides a basic overview of researchers’ obligations arising from the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol, some of the challenges that researchers and research institutes need to address and how the German Nagoya Protocol HuB (GNP HuB) is supporting the academic research community in Germany with their understanding compliance obligations.

Speaker: Elizabeth Karger, Leibniz-Institut DSMZ-Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (DSMZ)
